Nail Fungus

If you struggle with athlete's foot or nail fungus, Thrive Acupuncture is now carrying herbal  products to treat them!

Nail fungus is notoriously difficult to treat - a lot of topicals that work on athlete's foot don't successfully treat the nails, and the oral antifungals that are available are tough on the liver.

While this isn't a QUICK solution (it still takes dedication to treat toenail fungus), the protocol I'm going to explain is successful!

Supplies:
  • A tub or bucket that you can fit both feet into
  • White Vinegar
  • Listerine mouthwash
  • Solution Y/F Herbal Sachets
  • Solution Y/F Topical Tincture

Instructions:
1. Mix 2 parts white vinegar with 1 part Listerine. You'll want enough of this mixture to fully cover the affected area - in this case, the toenails. I find for my particular tub, I use 4 cups white vinegar and 2 cups Listerine mouthwash and that covers the soles of my feet up and over my toenails (about 1 inch in depth).

2. Add the herbal sachet that adds even more fungus-fighting power.
This mixture lasts 1-2 weeks, as long as you've got a lid for your container.

3. Trim your toe nails as short as possible, and for the duration of treatment, maintain this shortness.

4. Soak your feet for 15-20 minutes DAILY (I do this in the evening while reading or watching TV).

5. After the soak, use a cotton ball or cotton round to apply the Solution Y/F Topical Tincture to the affected areas, and let your feet air-dry.

6. Apply the Solution Y/F Topical Tincture a second time per day (I do this in the morning).

7. Repeat this process DAILY until the affected nails have completely grown back clean and healthy, and continue treating for 2 more weeks, to ensure complete eradication of the nail fungus. This is the tough part, as it can take a year or more.

It takes a lot of time and dedication to treat nail fungus, but it IS possible to do it in a way that is kinder to our livers!
